Yesterday, I finally decided to take care of one of the embarrassing mods I did to the van.
The LEDs I thought I bought were that off-blue white color. Nope. I held on to the parts long enough that I couldn't return them so I put them in.
There are three of these fixtures in the van, and they're $20 each. I'm lazy, and didn't want to spend the money. I finally gave in (after four years) and bought three white ones.

My WRX came with lights like these from the factory. They're blue. My car is white and the gauges are red. The foot-well lights are blue. It bugs me.
I keep forgetting to try and see if I can order some red ones so they at least match. I mean, they're useful. They just look tacky in blue. It doesn't match anything on my car.
EDIT: I just saw a video of the installation. Since it's already installed all I really have to do is unscrew the LED light, unplug it, and replace it with the red one. A 5 minute job.

truth be told my interior glows blue as well, even the ever difficult door panels. I may just remove the foot wells and leave the cup holders and doors

Yes, white looks a lot less Fast and Furious.
Did you change the undercar neons to white as well?:P

I had the exact same problem with my 2011 WRX. Never did anything about it, though.

I'm trying to find the lights without the harness but it looks like you have to order the whole thing. $40.
It's not expensive, but fuck if it isn't annoying to have to spend that money on something that the dealership screwed up on. I didn't even know this car had them until I drove the car at night.

That's what I was going to do, then just resell the kit with the blue lights on nasioc or something. Sold the car before I got around to it.

Curious why you sold it, if you don't mind me asking.

Mostly the shitty gas mileage, I put 42k miles on it in 2 years and 19/20mpg was killing me. Also, every interior panel rattled and it was slowly driving me insane. Overall, I just never liked the car as much as my '04 WRX and decided I needed a change.

The rattles are this car's Achilles heel. At least for me, anyway, it's not enough for me to abandon it.
